The motor in my antenna is broken. I can't get it to completely lower, it will to about halfway. I'm wanting To run it through a car wash but I'm worried it'll break off. Is it possible to lower it all the way some how?

Remove the bezel, with the antenna as far down as it goes. Put the antenna up and and attempt to pull the white strip all the way out of motor. Cut white strip as close to antenna as you can. Replace antenna and hopefully it will go down. It will not come back up.
If white strip does not come out all the way, cut away as much as you can at both ends and replace antenna. This may or may not work.
Save dead white strip so you can compare to a new antenna to see if any is stuck in motor.
I'm different than most. I recommend fixing these things. I had to repair mine once in 20 years. I am fine with that.
Read both these threads if you want to fix. Very important to get a GOOD replacement mast. Go cheapo fleabay and you will suffer.

Are they pretty easy to replace?

If all the old white strip comes out, it's a 5 minute job. If not, then you have to pull the motor and remove the broken parts. NOT "pretty easy."

Assuming the car is on so it thinks the mast is up.
There may be a video but you have someone turn off the car and feed the new mast into the motor. Your problem is that you need to know which direction the old one was and I don't remember. I had more trouble with mine than others - replaced the mast and then a few years later had to replace the motor.

Would like to share my frustrating experience today trying to replace the mast. I was hoping Id be able to just pull out the broken gear piece and not having to pull out the motor. Well that didn't happen, it was broken in multiple pieces inside of the motor piece. Also, trying to get the chrome nut loose on top was a major pain in the ass. I couldn't tap it free so I needed to use pliers which still barely would turn it, when it started finally turning I ended up destroying the piece pretty badly. So I ordered a new piece on amazon, was like 8 bucks so no big deal. Then it turns out that the bracket the holds motor to the inner fender was sheered off the fender so I can't attach it back to the fender without likely pulling the fender off and drilling my own screw in. Spent about 2 hours dealing with all these issues. Not sure if I just want to change the type of antenna now or pull the fender to reattach the motor to the inner fender so I can complete the project. So for now I'm just running the broken antenna unplugged until I figure out what I want to do. All the instructions given by the forum were spot on so I do appreciate that, just my install went to shit. hahaha
