How to paint rear bumper?

What's the best way to paint this middle section of the rear bumper - Plasti Dip or regular spray paint?

I thought it was 2 parts, and after removing the 6 bolts, found it's all one piece.

Do I spray paint the lip and then Plasti the lower piece? Figuring if I Plasti the lip, it'll get scratched up from normal use of the rear compartment.

First and foremost, why do you want to paint the lip. If it's a black you want it to look like try a plastic and trim restore cream at your local autostore. But yes, if you PD it, most likely it won't last because it's made to adhere like a sticker and stickers peel off.

If it's a wild color you're not sure of, PD it 6-8 coats and it'll hold tough, and peel off when you're ready. I always recommend this because if you're unsure, just PD it another color of your choice. Nothing permanent if you're unsure.

Go with Plasti-dip. I did mine black and it looks good. You will need to re-coat every 6 months or so but it isn't a big deal at all. I did both the middle of the front and rear black. Very happy with results.

It's grey and I want it black. I'll look for the trim restore cream.

I can tape off the lower mid section and Plasti Dip that when I'm ready to do the front lower mid piece. Thanks.
