How to pull rear quarter glass?

I did multiple searches, even using quotes, trying thing like "remove windows" and after 5 pages (of each search) of things like "remote programming" I give up.

Also searched on YouTube with no results (lots of door and rear gate glass).

How do the rear quarter glass panels come out? Are they simply glued in with the trim around them like the windshield or is there a bracket that bolts in in?

Just glued in essentially. there is a special window "bondo" which is like a silicone type deal.

once I pushed mine out trying to get a large thing in the back. I put too much pressure on it and it popped right out.

They're glued in, see attached from the fsm.

Be extremely careful of the edge of the window as tempered glass is most vulnerable to breaking from that surface! Once you remove the rubber molding from around the window you can use a glass removal tool with a deep blade.

This is the tool we used in the early / late 80's as the older adhesives weren't as strong as they are today: It will be a challenge and damage to paint / body can occur so be careful.

P.S. You will most likely need to order a new rubber surface molding for around the glass as they can be a problem reinstalling?

That's the tool I was thinking of. Our windshield guy (a friend of my wifes) used one to cut the Prius windshield out in about 1 minute.

I dont care if I damage paint or the body as its coming out of a vehicle being parted out.

What I don't want is a gravel driveway full of glass

I think the official procedure is to run fishing line or something similar around the perimeter to cut the sealant.
