How to remove black strips under roof rack

I just barely have some rust specs at the rear under the rear hatch up near the black channels (strips) that run under the roof rack. I have seen and read about removing the 4 mounts but could someone please tell me once I get the 4 mounts off what holds the black strips on, just so I will know going into the project.

Pretty sure they're are just hand pressed in there. I had one fly off on the freeway last month for some reason. Popped it right back in, no issues.

I just removed mine for an ARB rack, the inside of the rack feet overlaps the trim piece, might have to remove it to get the piece out.

I can second that they are just laid in there. Had one of the fans/blowers at the end of a touch-free car wash blow it out once.
