How To Remove Diff Drop?

I had the diff drop installed a year ago by the shop who did my lift. When I was trying to install my new skids, the front won't fit with the diff drop installed and it touches the differential without coming close to the crossmember. I couldn't find a write up on how to install/remove so I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. Thanks!

You will need the shorter oem bolts too. Just remove the nut on both, tap the bolt out. Then pull the spacer. I would place a jack under there to keep it from dropping.

So the diff drop is just the two spacers, one on each bracket?

Yep. Just those 1" thick circular blocks.

Do I have to jack the truck up or just put a jack under the diff to support it? I see you also have RCI skids, I'm guessing you don't have the diff drop installed?

Probably not, I have the RCI'S also and no diff drop kit. The plate is real close and adding another 1" would definitely hit it.

No diff drop for me. I am only running 3.5" lift.

Don't jack the truck, just support the diff. Do one side at a time.

Thanks guys, anyone have any idea what size the stock front diff bolts are? Hoping I can just get them at Lowes or Home Depot.

Support one side, pull the bolt, measure, subtract 1" , reinstall and head to lowes for replacement.

OEM Front Diff Bolt Size

I know this is an old thread, but I had a hard time finding this info anywhere else.

I'd like to see if I can get the OEM size bolts before I will be able to remove my diff drop to measure. Does anyone know the OEM (non-dropped) bolt size, length, and thread pitch?
