How to remove Headlights

Hello guys,

I've tried searching the forums but i cannot find any instructions on how to remove the headlights of a 99 limited runner.

Mine seem to be loose so all i want to do is just tighten them up a little bit.

Remove the grille, marker lights and disconnect your headlight socket cables.

Remove the screw holding the filler panels under the headlamps and use a long flatblade screwdriver wedged between the plastic clip and the filler panel - twist the screwdriver blade and pull the filler panel away from the clip. This will take a few tries.

There are four 10mm nuts holding the headlight assembly: two on the outside (accessed via marker light wells), one on the bottom and one at around 2:00 to 3:00 on the inside. Use a deep 10mm socket and have an extension handy for the 6:00 nut.

Once all 4 nuts are removed the headlight assembly pulls straight out towards you.

but my '99 has 10mm heads holding the headlights on. You'll need a 6" extension for the one under the headlight. Extension will help for all of them actually.

Hardest part of this job is not breaking the little plastic clips that hold the grill on. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to push down on the little tabs inside the grill to release the clips, then get the clips out of the frame and headlight holes and put them back in the grill before you re install it.

This is exactly right. Take your time, it's easy.

If they are brittle, there is no amount of finessing that will save them unfortunately. I've broken so many, and I'm careful.
