How to remove sunglass holder ('09)

Does the sunglass holder 'drawer' comeout by itself, or does the entire unit need to comeout to remove/replace that thing?

I poke around for awhile today, but didnt want to break the gear teeth on it. Is there a secret to getting that sucker out?

I'm not positive but I don't think the sunglass part comes out.

The entire thing can be removed by removing a single screw then pulling down on it I believe.

I know there are several pictures and a writeup of how to remove it somewhere around here.

Thanks, what would the thing be called that can be removed with a screw? (just so I can search properly). Overhead control panel or something?

You have to yank on it like a man. Most likely you will need to fix the clips when you put it back. I don't know why they used metal clips for that.

I've taken mine out several times without breaking anything, so I don't think you're gonna have to replace stuff.

Search for overhead console or possibly homelink.

I think you pull the back down first and the front kinda hooks out but I honestly can't remember for sure.
