How to secure the body cladding on doors

The past few days when i shut my rear side door there was a rattle, and finally figured out that the plastic "body cladding?" has some broken clips, not a huge problem to fix, however the right side door at the bottom right most spot has what looks like is a rivet that isnt squished (technical term).
does anyone have some knowledge on how these secure in place that would help me understand how to fix this?

90269-04047 ?? is a rivet.: 90467-07188 is an "expansion clip"

i'll snag a few clips and then see if can re-secure it better.
