Hey there,

I'm going to lift my 1998 4runner and since I'm poor I'm doing the TRD Tundra/FJ80 LC coils since I can find those at pretty good prices and they suit my purposes.

Maybe I'm a little slow but I can't quite find anywhere information about what to look for when buying used FJ80 springs as far as condition goes. Such as length of the spring when it isn't installed and such.

I guess the same for TRD Tundra springs for the front if I get those used.

I really don't mind if they are settled or not.

Any insight would be awesome. I don't want to buy something that's obviously a bad gig.

FJ80 springs don't have the same "sagging" problems as 3rd gen 4Runners, and even if they have "settled", they will provide lots of lift for you, you might get away with less rake than some others would be the worst that would happen IMO.
