How to turn on the cabin lights while the car is locked.

Hi everyone, I just found this trick accidentally when I was trying to open the back door of the 4runner. this is a 2005 SR5 4runner. the switch from the cabin lights in between the driver side/passenger side and the back light must be in switched to driver. Usually when you lock the car, those lights turn off.

if you want to turn on those lights without using your key, just go to the back of the car and press button to open the trunk. Lights in the cabin should turn on.

Can anyone test this and confirm if that is how it works?

I can confirm that does NOT work on my 2008.
