Well hello there! Back in 1995, I had an '85 4runner named "Rupert". Bright red, with a black top, and a black tubular bumper-thumper...sittin' on aluminum rims and 31's. I (stupidly) sold it before heading off to college, and regretted it since. Through a strange twist of fate...I find myself in the position to get back to my roots...in the aquisition of an '84 runner, with a 22RET Turbo, on about 6" of lift. I pick her up at the end of the month. I'm also a Blazer guy...2nd gen, but won't bore you with that. Blazer motor is failing after almost 215k miles, and just happen to have a retired USAF Col. that makes 4runners a hobby. He started building this one fromt he engine...then frame...lift...interior...and all that is left is a paint job. So here it is...my "welcome back" party on wheels:
The plan is a paint job, sound, lamps, bumper, roof rack, and 33's/35's when the time is right.
