Howdy... newbie from San Diego

Howdy all... just wanted to say hello from sunny San Diego!

I'm coming from a 2013 F150 that I traded in on my 2015 SR5 and have never looked back. Had some fun over on F150forum.com and thought I might as well join up over here now (funny, the Ford forum had the exact same layout as this one).

My Ford was a plague of TSB's and problems since day one. Engine replaced @ 17K miles, mysterious battery drain never found, constant Sync issues, driveline noises.. blah, blah, blah.

Glad to be back in a Toyota again (I am also really enjoying not having to haul around a battery jumper in my back seat). This is my first 4runner. My last Toyotas were all Land Cruisers (1982, 1986, 1988 & 2005). Have already read some great stuff on here and look forward to much more.

Welcome! I'm pretty new myself. You'll find there are some great folks hereabouts. I was about ready to climb up somewhere high and throw myself off over a mystery noise in my wife's 4R, but they talked me down. (And with their support I eventually found it!)

Sorry to hear about the F150. Have a brother and several friends who have them. Came VERY close myself recently, but went Tundra instead.

I wish I could *guarantee* the days of vehicle problems are behind you; Toyota's efforts to downgrade their quality control the past few years has taken a big bite out of that promise. But I'm still pretty confident in saying you've got about as good a shot at trouble-free ownership as is possible with anything on the road today! Enjoy it!
