New to this forum, and to forums period. This one looked like a great place to start.
Current 4Runner issues...
2005 Lmtd 4.7L
Went up a size on tires, which rub to my dismay. Any suggestions on easy lift that works well? Only looking for 1.5 to 2" to help clear the tires away from the fender wells.
Rear diff breather rusted up, so I changed it a week ago. Thought it would be a good idea to squirt it with some WD-40 to keep the rust away. Checked my level today, and pulling the service plug hissed air. Was the WD treatment a bad idea? Better breather plugs available somewhere?
3rd thing I'm looking into. Rear diff is regular old gears. What sort of swaps can I do for limited slip or posi? Will the diffs swap out, or will I need a new housing and axles etc? Any part number/code help would be great.
