hub centric wheel question

Almost positive my hubs are 106mm (2008 V6 Sport 4WD). So to be truly hub centric, what measurement am I looking for in the wheels? I've seen 106.2, 106.8, 108, and up. I know 2mm is not much bigger on a wheel with 108 hub measurement, but would that fit snug on the Runners 106 hub?

They are 106mm. 0.04"/side is not what I would consider a close fit, but they will fit "snug" if you bolt them down properly. As long as the bore is not smaller than 106 and the bolt pattern is the appropriate size you should be fine. Might notice a little extra vibration though.

I think most parts search engines take this into consideration if you're looking at wheels on tire rack, etc.

Regardless, mounting a hub centric wheel on the wrong bore size will be bad news... but as long as the wheel bore is larger, an adapter can be used to center it.

Anyway, most aftermarket wheels are lug centric. It might be worth confirming with the supplier for sure before you buy. Most of the 6x139.7 bolt pattern Toyota trucks are all 106mm hubs

I do know that Stealth Custom Series-SCS are Toyota hub centric. If you are gonna drive it on tough trails off road, hub centric is a good idea. It will also help eliminate
high speed balancing excuses a tire shop could potentially throw at you.

106.2mm is the most snug fit you'll get. Anything 108mm will most likely be lug-centric, who makes 106.8? I don't recall ever seeing that bore size. Odd.

Some aftermarket wheels have a larger bore, but supply plastic spacers to maintain the hub centric fit.
