Hubcentric or Lugcentric ?

Not that it's worth arguing, but the hub-centric aspect of our stock wheels are the PRIMARY way that the wheels are centered to the hubs. The lug-centric aspect doesn't do much for our rims, so I agree with you on that. However, the definition of "lug-centric" is a beveled hole and nut which centers each hole to each stud providing that the holes and studs are placed perfectly (which they are on our trucks). Even if it is a secondary means to center the wheels and that aspect isn't even being taken advantage of, by definition, they are still lug-centric. Ok I'm done.

The lug hole is not beveled, and can guarantee that, as far as the lugs if I remember corectly they might have a small bevel at the end, but the shaft of the nut is straight. The reason to have that slight bevel at the end, (if its there Id have to check) is to help getting the nut started.

My wheels have beveled holes and the lug nuts are beveled at the same angle so they have no choice but to be centered on each stud. Now I'm wondering if possibly this issue has been debated so many times in the past because the different sets of stock rims differ. Mine are the split 3spokes. You're sure your lug holes aren't beveled?? because I'm 100% sure that mine are.

Well that I could agree with, the wheels not all being the same. But Im telling you, the the lug holes are straight and the lug nuts too. I think the bevel on the nut you are talking about is to get the hole lined up, after that the lug nuts are straight and dont do anything but hold the wheel on. Lug-centric nuts will be beveled all the way, hub centric lug nuts will be straight. Check your wheels, because I am really curious about this. I will check mine too.

I had the tires off last night and I've also had this truck for 9 years so I'm positive everything on mine is beveled and my wheels cannot possibly be put on "crooked". Even if I were to bore out the big center hub hole of the rim and destroy the hub-centric part of it, the lugs would still center it to the hub. I'm really starting to think that the wheels on the newer years might not have beveled lug holes. That would be the only explaination.
