Humor me, curiousity question of where you work on your 4runner

Why is it divided between the truck and boat? That would drive me nuts lol. Looks like a lot of you only have one or two vehicles too, who does that?

That wall was built so my son could paint cars after he got out of school.(Wyotech)The paint booth isn't 100% dust free but it serves the purpose.He has painted a Benz, 4 trucks, a couple of other cars before he joined the Army.
That is where the Runner will get a new paint job as soon as he gets some free time...

So for the rest of you, if I offered you a spot for a few $'s a day when you needed to work on your car or truck, is that something you would take advantage of, or no? Just trying to gauge if I could help offset the cost of rent this way, or if everyone would have the attitude of "were internet bros, why should I chip in for renting space" type of thing.

I do 95% of my work in my 2-car garage. A couple years back I bought a bunch of shelving for it, did a bunch of goodwill runs, cleaned out all the junk and got organized. Now it's a really nice workspace.

The other 5% is mainly welding work, and that gets done @ my boss' house... he's got a personal garage that would make all of us jealous... 2300 square feet, radiant floor heating, a urinal, refrigerator, grill, couch, TV, sound system, and every tool known to man.

My favorite thing about my garage is my audience of 5...

Stick Figure I can't tell you how pumped I am that you will be moving to the Bay Area. Especially San Jose because that is super close. My garage is pitiful and full of junk. I've been meaning to clean it out, but I just don't have the time.

I won't be able to help with that, I'm actually moving in farther away from you up to the bay area.

Stick Figure I can't tell you how pumped I am that you will be moving to the Bay Area. Especially San Jose because that is super close. My garage is pitiful and full of junk. I've been meaning to clean it out, but I just don't have the time.

Don't be too excited just yet, its probably going to take some time before I'm going to be much help. I'll be up in about a week, but then I have to come back and actually move all of our stuff a week or so later.

I do my repairs in my garage but for the past months, it been full of Sequoia parts. Need to get rid of those parts so i don't have to do my repairs in the drive way.

BTW, I recently upgraded my Ghettoblaster (use it mainly when I'm training with a buddy) to an RCA 350 Watt Surround Sound System....now I can hear the music all over the garage!

i think its a great idea. I was stationed at Fort Campbell (101st Airborne) and they had a 12 bay facility where you could rent a bay for dirt cheap. They had every tool available you could think of. they had presses, hydraulic lifts, the works. I actually wish I would have taken more advantage of it.

Yup - the garage on FLW has 2 or 3 lifts and darn near everything that I know of. I will be calling them to ensure that they have the stuff we need, but I've seen some pretty intensive work going on in there so I'm fairly sure they have most everything I'd need.

Yeah i've had some buddies that were airforce, and been in the "hobby shop" on base before to help with a few things. Also had one that had access to one hell of a sand blaster that used to do small projects for me like sand blasting chrome plating off some rimes once!

I used to have a garage until my idiot brother ditched his crashed truck in there.

60 gallon air compressor, all the tools I need, floor jack, stands, lights, air and power reels..

I can't hardly use any of it with that piece of sh!t truck hogging up all the space... so the driveways my next best bet.

At work, where we have 75 lifts on the first floor and an equally large bodyshop on the second floor

and my buddies shop.
