I smoke in my truck... What's the big deal?

I tolerate my coworkers smoking and hang out with them on breaks, but I don't really want that stench in my 4Runner. I'm pretty adamant about people not smoking in my vehicles.

I used to smoke a while back (mainly just 100's a couple times a day) and mostly quit because a friend asked me to (I never experienced the addiction/attraction most people did, I guess my brain didn't latch on to the nicotine properly or something?) but I never really enjoyed smoking either.

To each their own in my opinion and I'm not really against smokers in general, I just have certain boundaries and smoking in my vehicles is one of them.

As I said above, I'm probably too sensitive to it. I can tell immediately if someone has been smoking in a vehicle*. EVER. If I were forced to ride in a car that had been smoked in I would probably get ill.


*as a consultant I've probably had over 400-500 car rentals. I've probably had to return 20 of them because someone had smoked in them.

And I always have my windows down because I hate having a smoky truck

I didn't smoke or allow smoking in any of my vehicles even when I used to smoke.. It's just gross.. Anyways don't know how far this has gone but please dont pull any ignition wires lol..

That's your opinion. My truck smells like fabreeze fresh linen... And tires because I have new to me tires in the back waiting to get put on in a little bit here

-seafoam the engine but let him start the car without knowing, He'll think the engines blown but you'll actually be performing a bit of light maintenance cleaning the valves and what not.

There's a smoker theme to that option too!

Another suggestion: If you have multiple master keys, delete his chipped key code out of the 4Runner. Here's a link to the code: click here. When he tries to start the car, it will think it's being stolen and lock up. I've heard there are two ways to reverse this, start the car shortly after with a chipped key, or tow it to a dealership.

One trick I'm looking to play soon is the Mentos in the soda. Undo the cap on a soda bottle, tape a mentos to a piece of thread or floss. Let the Mentos dangle just at the inside top of the bottle with the thread hanging out. Tighten the cap down on the thread. Cut any thread exposed from the cap. When someone twists the cap, the mentos drops into the soda and creates an instant soda volcano.

Don't do this inside your 4runner.

Yuck...that is just nasty. I can smell smoke in a vehicle no matter what they do to it. Nobody smokes in my Jeep or 4R ever, and come to think of it...I have no smoker friends anymore so it works out well. Yeah, that goes for pot too.
