So I have been having alot of problems with my HVAC controller for a 2000 4R Limited. The buttons had to be pressed really hard to change any settings. So after checking the switches i found a few faulty ones on the circuit board, A new replacement unit is ( >$1000) which I wasn't going to spend
I found 7 switches of the same height in an old cd player which worked great. Unit is now fully functional. :bravo:
I opened one of the loose switches which came apart very easily and saw the contacts were not in good condition.
