HVAC Dim After Stereo Install

Last night I completed an install of a JVC stereo. Everything on the stereo works great, but the HVAC control head is real dim and the clock is out completely.

I think the clock is probably just plugged into the wrong spot (I read there's a dummy plug on the panel), but haven't a clue about the HVAC control. It is equally dim throughout and does adjust with the dimmer control.

What did I do?

Check your connections and fuses. When moving stuff around, you could have crossed something. Also, I know with my JVC I didn't hook up the dimmer wire, did you on yours? I don't know if that has anything to do with it...just a guess.

Got the clock plugged in correctly. It's working now. I think the backlight on the screen on the HVAC control is completely out. but the buttons are all still lit, though they seem dim.

I'll have to check the connections. Is there a fuse for the HVAC screen by itself? Or most likely do I need the bulbs?
