HVAC lights

So about a year ago (maybe less) I replaced my hvac lights (on the little screen where the info center is, temp, source, clock and outside temp) is.

I just got home from a quick Wally World run and saw the pass side of the screen is ever so slightly dimmer than the driver side half and when you hit certain buttons on the hvac controls only the passenger side gets dimmer (a little more noticeable when you press the buttons).

So does 1) anyone else have the problem and 2) shouldn't the bulbs last longer? TIA.

HVAC lights dimmer on one side

I have the same problem with the left side being dimmer than the right side but not all the time. Almost like a short but don't know enough to get into it to fix it.

Would love to replace all my lights with LED but don't have the electrical knowledge to do so.

I have done all interior and rear tag lights with LED. It was my first mod. WOOT!

I wonder if its new or I just realized it does this. Not sure but its annoying.

There is a guy on here that does LED swaps, he does them for the Gauges and HVAC. I think it's $200 including shipping each way but I'm not sure on the shipping. I think he supplies the LEDS too and you can pick any color you want, for the back lighting and needles.

Anyways anyone else have this problem?

I had some flickering issues... Took it apart, re-inserted the bulb, and it went back to normal.
