Hydro-locked engine

So this past weekend I fell into a small puddle while off roading (ended with half the hood under water, not a small feat for a 6 inch lift and 35" tires) and resulted in hydro-locking my engine and breaking a rod or something (have yet to break it apart). My question is do I just need to get a new bottom end or could the heads be damaged? I just had the heads rebuilt like less than a 100 miles ago along with a ton of other new parts put in it. As such, I wanna just go with putting in another new short block 3evz. Does this sound like a good idea and is there anything else I should do while in there? Other than putting a snorkel in for next run.

You would have to take it apart to see what got hurt, it might just be the bottom end it might be the whole thing.
