What annoying news to come home too.

I let my sister take my 2005 Toyota 4runner for the weekend while I left town on a business trip. When I came back, I was greeted with a 8" long burn in the top of my bumper cover and a cracked headlight. I asked her what the hell had happened and this is I was told "my friends car battery died and he tried jumping it, but it didn

That sucks!

But I don't think anything could have gone past the battery so if your battery is still ok then you just need to worry about the body damage. I hope the guy who hooked up the cables backwards :nono: :rolleye2: :bonk: is paying for it.
 
Luckily he is, and for their sake I'm glad that no one was hurt in the stupidity! I know I need a new front right headlight and bumper cover and the plastic trim around the hood latch, but other than that I think I will be ok. Any reccoemendations as to where to shop for these parts?

Absolutely, partznet.com You'd be hard pressed to find stuff any cheaper. They are a Toyota dealer so you are getting Toyota parts.

I think your sisters friend needs a Rochambeau... That's the dumbest thing I've heard.

Yeah Partznet has great prices and pretty quick shipping as well as good customer service.

I doubt Toyota would have done anything even if you were in warranty. I wouldn't think it would be covered to replace those parts.
