Woah now....don't be bashing matte green (The picture below is a guy I follow on IG). It's a great color! But that price is ridiculous.

I think you summed it up perfectly. Poop lighting/picture taking skills, fantastic color. It's actually my dream color for my truck...man I love green.
 
There was a near identical one sitting at my dealer the other day. Only difference was it was silver. I almost died looking at the price.
 
Realistically speaking price isnt TOOOO bad.

$3000 wrap job
$2500 suspension/install/allignment
$1500-2000 wheels and tires
$750- Sliders
$500- roof basket
$600-Pro grill

About $9k in options all dealer installed so warrantied through the dealer.

say you wheel and deal and get it for 54k-55k. Subtract all the mods that one would most likely do, 45-46k. Most dealers tack on the 5k market adjustment so in reality its 40-41k for a 2018 TRD off road.

Not bad if you ask me. Already modded, all mods financed(if you have good credit and get a good rate its harmless), all parts warrantied through dealer. WIN WIN.
 
I like the color in the matte finish. Overall it looks really good to me.

That said there's no way I'd pay that price for a 5th Gen 4Runner -- I don't care how many cool, custom options it has. Shit, I'm almost embarrassed the price I paid for my '15 TRD Pro and it wasn't close to that.

It's a dealer halo car. Dealer won't budge on price until enough time has gone by and it's done its job drawing attention and selling regular models.

I've often wondered what dealerships called these cars. Toyota of Dallas always has 2 sitting in their showroom, to show off what they can do in their parts and installation services. I guess it is a business move

Ya think? A car dealership is a business. If they do anything that's NOT a business move then they're doing it wrong.

Draws attention, shows off a bunch of accessories they can sell to other people, makes the other Runners on the lot seem cheaper in comparison. Car salesmen know better than most that there's a sucker born every minute. Maybe someone will walk in and offer $1000 under the price and think they're getting a good deal. If not they can knock $5000 off after the marketing value wears thin and still make a tidy profit.

I mean, heck - have any of you seen how much money a lot of forum members pour into their mall crawlers?

I don't get what all the shock is about. And the monthly payments? They come out to $64,400. That's what $58k plus 5 years of interest adds up to. Whadda ya think, you're going to pay $40k for a $60k vehicle?
