I.D. this part...

hey everyone, new here. anyways im trying to locate this piece, as i have no idea what its called. maybe one of you can help me out. i believe i had a rat/mouse that decided to make a home in my engine bay cause the wire was chewed all up and there were bedding material too!

anyways, the part in question is right behind the timing belt cover? and the wires from pic 2, connect to the wires in pic 3.

it's actually mounted there. supposed to be connected to each other. the motor is fine, it just wouldnt fire up yesterday. it would just crank but not fire up.
i just put in new wiring since no one could id the thing and it fired right up. did get a CEL later on to find out it was my knock sensor, which was also chewed up, and just replaced the wiring since a new one wouldve cost me $170ish.

how do you wash it? I hear people who power wash it and their engine runs funny afterwards. If I do what do I need to protect from water.

You know I was gona say the knock sensor....:biggrin2:

And Mr. Dabadina your gona want to cover the intake and all major electrical housings. Most plugs and fittings will be protected from water.

How long has the Runner been sitting dormant, if a mouse made a home?

Also do not pressure wash.
Just cover the vitals, air box, bat, etc, and then spray some simply green or some sort of engine degrease and use a regular hose.
