The number of uneducated posts in this thread is ridiculous. OEM or "you're a dick" is just insane. There are ways to properly run HIDs or LEDs with projector housings, proper cutoffs, and aimed correctly to make visibility better and more safe for us over the terrible Halogen bulbs with crap output.

I think we all can agree that blinding headlights are dangerous and should not be run regardless of laws or if they are OEM, hell a lift without rearming can cause issues with OEM lights......

Epic scam??
People in my state pay $50 once a year for someone to go through their vehicle and tell them what's wrong with it and could be a hazard to my family, or someone else's family and could potentially save lives... you think that's a scam?? There are so many hack jobs or just plain ignorant people out there that ride their brakes down to nothing or would wait until a wheel falls off to replace a ball joint... And you think these people being told that before it causes an accident is a scam?
Personally I think the Pennsylvania state inspection is a screamin deal and if not circumvented illegally keeps people like you from driving in my state daily... So sign me up and take my money!!!

People like me? You have no idea who I am, what I stand for, or the things I do in my life in the service of others. That’s an ignorant statement. You may not agree with my take on your state taking your hard earned money to tell you what is your responsibility to know as a driver and owner of a motor vehicle, but the personal attacks are entirely uncalled for. I have not once attacked anyone here personally for disagreeing with me. I guess this is just the state of our nation right now.
I’m glad that you get a false sense of security for your safety because you even acknowledged that people circumvent this system.
Read my posts. I even acknowledged that I can understand basic safety checks such as brakes and tires. My issue comes into play with you paying $50 a year for them to fine you for replacing bulbs. I had no idea there would be this much contention for such a simple argument. Statistically your state should see far fewer crashes then than mine. I doubt it does though.

You're absolutely right, not everything can be controlled. For me I appreciate inspection for the ignorant people more than anything... We all know there's people out there that just have absolutely no idea how any component on a vehicle works except for the ignition, park/reverse/drive, and the fuel door lol. Those are the type of people that scare me the most.

OK for reference I have stock headlights.
It makes me ill when I get blinded by someone running searing bright headlights. It's happening more and more often.
If you have aftermarket headlights/ bulbs probably 90% of people aren't going to flash their brights at you because they aren't that type of person, or they don't want to flash other drivers in front of them or beside you, or they're shocked that they can't see a damn thing and just want to get past you.
Maybe you have yours in the proper housing or have the cutoff where you think it's right, but likely they're still probably too bright for most other drivers. Are they legal lights?
"Screw everyone else I don't care if I blind them, and screw the law I'll do what I want" is a horrible attitude.
I hope cops and inspection stations start enforcing the law on this and ticket/ fail people with ridiculous bright headlights.
It's not cool, it doesn't look cool, it's lame, other drivers who are blinded and see spots for the next 5 minutes think you're lame.
