I feel bad....

Everybody knows that I am doing my swap and I document all my trials and tribulations. But some where out there in Mechanics land, some one is doing the exact same thing on a Second generation 4runner with my old 5vz-fe.

Here is where i feel bad.

I sold the dude a complete motor, ecu, alt, start, maf, partial wire harness, power steering pump, and let him test drive it before buying it.

All for good money too.

This is where i feel bad. If I need a sequoia key to my v8 work, he will need my 4runner key to make his V6 work....

Contact him again and pass over your key?

Heck, he can get the whole truck re-keyed at a dealership for not TOO much... They had to do this to my 4Runner when it was recovered as the keys were stolen with it.

Definitely good that you feel bad, but I think it will be ok. He either figured something out or figured it as part of the equation. Otherwise I'd assume he'd know how to contact you to see if he could get the key.

What about making a copy of the key and sending it to him? I don't think our 3rd gen keys have chips in them so just get a key made and give him the copy. I guess that leaves you in a pickle because he will have a key to your 4runner.
