i feel like i need a wider stance

I researched before i bought my wheels to try to get the perfect stance, and i like them, but i want a wider now aggressive stance. Now my only option is wheel spacers.

Are there any cons to having wheel spacers, or to me having a wider stance. I just feel like it will give it a tougher more aggressive off road look.

What you guys think?

I have 1,25" all around and they are great up front but the rear could go further...no cons, just make sure to follow the instructions and you're set.
 
Most of us run them. Use locktight to hold the spacer on, torque to spec, put rims on and torque to spec. Most important part here is actually torquing to spec as this is what will give you the most issue in the long run.
 
There is no downside. A hub-centric spacer from All-Pro or Spidertrax is just as good as a wheel offset to your liking. As has been stated, just make sure to torque the lugs to 80lbs, get extended lugs for the front, and use loc-tite. You do those three things you've got nothing to worry about.

And yes, aesthetically it will look a lot better. 1.5 all-pro spacers were the first thing I did to mine and IMO it made the most difference of any mod I have done. Moreso than the lift, tires, color-matching, etc.

By the looks of it you'll be fine with 1.25 or 1.5.
 
Hm, maybe this is why I haven't sold my spacers yet. They are meant to be installed WITH my negative offset wheels. :banana:
 
Personally, I wouldn't go any wider than you've already gone with the offset wheels. Just my 2 cents ...

In all honesty it does look good as is. The larger radius you swing the outside edge of the wheel through the more rubbing issues you'll have at full lock too.
 
Pros:
looks awesome

Cons:
More likely to ding up paint from tires throwing up rocks
More stress on hub bearings
Could cause rubbing issues
Incorrect installation could cause the wheel to come off on the interstate


Do it! Make sure you torque them incrementally (in steps up to final torque) in a star pattern, with a torque wrench. Use red loctite.
Said wrench can be rented for free at autoparts store.

If you have rubbing now it's going to get significantly worse, and if you don't have rubbing now, you will with that tire/wheel combo.

I ditched my wheel spacers once I went to a wheel that has an offset similar to the ones you're running. No need for them really.

The extra width isn't really going to buy you much, functionally. You'll be throwing a lot more rocks, mud and other debris at your body panels with tires that stick out much further than the fenders. Maybe a non-issue, but something to be aware of.
 
aftermarket rims and spacers will not feel good with low speed turns. as is with my spacers and stock rims i dont like how much it wants to fight to turn sitting still. if you have the cash you could get total chaos long arm kit and axles
 
Looks great as is, no point in adding spacers imo. Plus like others said they'll just cause more issues down the road. Functionality over "looking tough", leave that to the jeep fanboys.
 
I myself have stock rims with 1.25 spacers on 265 tires. Stance is wide enough for me, and set up my sliders for accommodating this distance with the kick out.

I know I will be eventually be moving up to a 305, or even a 315 tire. Now my stance to my kick out on the sliders now change to where the kick out isn't really serving it's purpose.

So this is where an option that you can consider also. I do believe ALL PRO, you can have a set made to a size you want, as I will be doing to keep my stance.
 
The wheels you have probably give you 1.25" per side over the stock rims. It looks pretty good to me!

If you go wider make sure they are hubcentric and install them correctly.
