cracked my front screen in 3 places. there isn't a panel on the truck with out a dent. looked up the oem glass replacement @~900,

what all is needed to put a sport hood on a limited? might be cheaper to just replace it vs dent fix.

Sucks! Sorry that happened to you. I had the same thing happen last May. I had most of my truck repainted and then a sport hood put on my SR5. I got an aftermarket one for a lot less. Pages 28-36 of my build thread (link below) show the damage and then all the work done to get it back up to par.

I was in the Army with a guy who bought a new vehicle that was hit with a hail storm. He paid half price. The dealer just wrote it off. His car looked like a golf ball on wheels. But mechanically it was sound.

Like was mentioned above, look for an aftermarket one. I used to have a Dodge Ram, I was parked at a boat ramp all day while on the boat came back to see some idiot backed their outboard right into my hood/grill. No note of course lol. So instead of paying my deductible ($1,000 at the time, I was 20 and didn't think about stuff like that) I found an aftermarket hood/grill for around $150 unpainted just primed. Spent another $100 I think at a local body shop to get it color matched and I was good to go. As for the glass.. wouldn't safelight replace that for free?

You southwest of Dubuque? I saw some of the pics from the Monticello area and they showed some pretty big hailstones.

Yes my house was ground zero.

Just finished with state farm, $7180, and that's before it goes to the body shop, if over run they claim they will handle it.

Mine was the same, 7K. If you know anyone who could do some of the repairs for you, you can come off pretty well.
Fortunately my husband is a collision repair technician so all my damage was fixed for next to nothing.
