lady pulling out of a side street going left while i was in the left turn lane! i saw her and slowed down but she didn't. needless to say, i need a complete bumper and reinforcement. i don't have comp and she doesn't have any insurance. being that i am out of work, buying new stuff will have to wait, unless someone wants to donate some parts?:humble:

That sucks, when I first read this and saw the pic I was thinking Yay for you... insurance purchased aftermarket bumper... then I saw the no insurance part.... not so Yay for you.

It looks driveable at least, did you check behind there to make sure the radiator and AC coil were not damaged?

Get a basic tube bumper from Savage Off Road! $299

Living in Florida, he'll have to pay another $180 or so in shipping. At least that is what they want to ship to Ohio, otherwise I would have already done the same thing for mine!

They don't come powder coated either, do they?

Sorry to hear about the accident. If she doesn't have insurance, she's going to have some problems on her hands in the near future I bet.

RockAuto has a chrome bumper for about $71 and a lower valance for $25. (plus shipping)
Your turn signals look fine, you'll just have to check on your bumper supports...

Why didn't she have insurance?

Was she just to broke or something else?

probably like everyone else here, don't care to have it. she told me she didn't have any and was nice about it. but when i told here i needed a police report and had to document the careless act, she got stupid then.

Sue her ass! :bravo:

I have a feeling you're not getting any blood out of that turnip.

Funny how most of us see getting into a small wreck as a positive thing since we can upgrade our bumpers.

Yeah probably. I'm surprised she had a valid license.

Dude could you have just taken her keys and said I'm calling the police.

If she can't pay for it then you or the police keep her car. In California no insurance = TOW AWAY to the impound yard.

Not sure if serious as it's phrased as question but has no ?.... from a legal standpoint I'd say that's not the best course of action. However, that is one law CA got right. In VA, we would not be able to impound it.

doesn't work like that here. she got a ticket for lack of insurance and that's it.

this is the extent of the damage; not bad. i straightened out the bumper as best i could along with the frame horn, with the end result as pictured. i am selling what i can and save the money for a plate bumper.

Sorry to see that. Maybe the uninsured driver will experience a bit of karma.

As for your bumper, it doesn't look too bad after straightening it. I'd skip the plate bumper, and buy new tires. The ones you have are worn out. The alignment looks to be off, too.
