i envy you and that color. I wanted the black and tan but living in arizona most people have white or silver... so i had to settle with the light silver with silver trim. I think im gonna get mine painted this winter though to a black or an all silver.
 
Yeah that paint scheme is probably my favorite in the 3rd gen lineup.

I wanted a sport edition with that color scheme, which was not an option. I settled for just the sport edition, and don't have any regrets about it. If I want it bad enough, I can always paint mine...
 
I saw someone on here who had my paint, but took off running boards and painted underbody to match the tan.

I want to do some mods, but this is a daily driver. So no lift... yet. But she will be camping and helping with fising. I'm thinking m.o.a.b. basket and brush gaurd/ push bar. Can't drop the $ yet just some ideas.

I just wish the badges weren't gold. I'm not a fan of gold badges, let alone on black.

it came with Goodyear Wranger AT/S. I have been reading some bad reviews. Anyone have them?

personally i love the gold emblems since you got the tan trim. if it was all black though it would look better with silver. I am contemplating getting a 1.5" lift or so on mine and also a brush guard. not sure if i like the brush guard on the silver or not yet. Im definitely a fan of it on black though. decisions decisions...
 
If I were you I would remove those running boards, and trade me your wheels for my ugly ones :bigok:

OH, and as far as the tires go ...not sure about the wranglers, but I do have goodyear trackers. I do not push my limits knowing that these are not offroad tires, but they actually have done pretty well for what I do. They have worn fairly well and haven't really said no to alot, and ive gone through some pretty thick mud ...I dont know maybe my 4runner is just that much of a beast?
 
ariz- whattype of brush guard are you looking at?
i have been thinking SS but I like the looks of powdercoat, but i know there will be chips... leading to rust.

i also yanked that goofy steering wheel cover
 
I have an identical runner... but mine lives just outside philly, nice grab. Oh and I have silver emblems:moon:

But seriously, you will enjoy it.
 
Nice 4runner. I agree w/trd_4runnin on removing your running boards. I was hesitant about it and when I did I was shocked at how more aggresive it looked. Either way nice 4runner.
 
Here are a few to give you an idea... the only other thing aside from the deckplate mod and running board removal is the tint. I have 22% on the front 2 windows and a 13% banner. Sorry about the quality of the pix, they're just quick shots from a disposable I was trying to use up.

edit: Er... clear corners/bumpers also... as you can see heh

fish - I was looking at getting one from manik. looking at the stainless steal one since i dont think the all black would look that good on the silver.

Rescue - Not sure why but my first impression when looking at your truck without the running boards on was that it resembled a Ford Explorer. kinda scary
 
Great buy Fish! Reminds me of my 4Runner when I first bought it back in '05. The only thing I wish our Limited trucks came with is the hood scoop.

I believe the Wranglers were standard equipment but yours look like they have a lot of tread which is interesting because I tried to replace mine two years ago so I could use the spare and buy three. Several Goodyear dealers told me that the black sidewall AT was discontinued. I replaced mine with Michelins which have been excellent for a daily driver and still have an unused Goodyear as a spare.
 
I'm not doing any heavy offroading
this is my daily driver
on the weekends I fish and snowboard...
so husky liners are coming
also doing clear corners and bumpers

i am still up in the air about yanking badges

in time.. roof basket and brush guard
