So my old work pulled a prank on me. Yes it was a auto repair shop too.

So after my engine swap I had a cam sensor issue. I finally said enouph after i replaced and still had issues. So off it went on the wrecker. Well after 10 minutes they had it worked out. I forgot a ground wire, that's it. Simple.

Well there ****ers decided to call me and tell me it caught fire in the shop all the sudden. Well I fell for it off this picture.

I was on a test drive in a new pickup then they sent this photo. I was so pist when I read it caught fire I didn't even look at the pic close.

Hope you guys enjoy some of my misery today

Blue

That's a pretty good prank. The last good prank that I did was one of the mechanics I know keeps a book of past projects that he has done and some of his personal vehicles. He has a corvette, a toronado and an absolutely mint Ninety-Eight. So I went on google images and found pictures that matched his cars perfectly except they were wrecked, in a salvage yard, or from pimp my ride(he hates that show). The look on the customers face and his face :jaw: when he opened that book was priceless. He especially likes to talk up his Ninety-Eight because it scored 997 out of 1000 in its class at some Concours show here thats local. Another good one was I hid a bunch of crickets in my boss's office, it took him 2 days to find them.

My coworker got a 99 Tahoe that he wanted to lower. So I said I'd help him do it but after I basically did the entire job myself, before I lowered it off of the lift I put about 30 zip ties around and through his ujoints giving him a horrible vibration.
He thought it was the tranny so he parked it and waited to take it to a transmission shop.
After three days of the truck sitting he took it to a local trans shop on a Saturday. He said the tech test drove it and then came back put it on his rack and that as soon as he looked underneath he immediately started laughing out loud, called over another tech they both started laughing. My coworker starts walking over and the tech still laughing says "well the good news is you don't need any work, just a good set of wire cutters. "
Confused he made his way over, looked under the Tahoe and immediately calls me.
All he said was your an ******* and hung up on me.
I almost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard I instantly knew what the call was about.
It was awesome still cracks me up to this day.

I heard one story where a mechanic drilled a hole in a mechanics box and threaded in a zerk fitting. Hooked up a pneumatic grease gun and filled the box with like 55 gallons of grease. Not sure what the guy with the tool box did in retaliation, probably involved gun fire I imagine.
