So i had put my runner up for sale on craigslist last month, had it up for about a couple weeks, but i had to take it down. I had a good amount of offers on it, but i just could not part with it. I did not want to see it go. And i have no clue why! i hope im not the only one lol:thumb3:

You are not the only one. It looks like I'm going to be leaving the country for work in 6 months or so and I've decided to lend my dad my truck while I'm gone rather than sell it. Sure I could use the extra cash, but I can't sell the Green Dragon. No way!

I bought a T4R '99 and regrettably sold it near the end of my college years. I moved into an nissan xterra-> mini cooper -> honda civic -> toyota prius -> and finally came back to my senses and purchased TWO T4Rs. I think the old saying goes... "you don't know what you've got till it's gone!"

I had a 97, the one in my avatar, and sold it last year. I bought an 07 335i and missed my runner so I sold that and bought the 2000 I have now. They're an awesome truck. Can't see any reason to get rid of mine now.

I tried to sell mine once. The price I could get for it was so low, I figured it's worth keeping the insurance on it and doing maintenance.

Not to dis' the other gens of 4runners but it sure seems like the 3rd gen is the most liked and in owning one myself, I can see why. Even my wife has told me to not ever sell our 2001.:driving:

Most of my friends have full size pick ups that are lifted as well, sometimes they knock me cause of my runner being smaller, and im the biggest of my friends lol. But it suprises them when we go down to the canal (where we usually go off roadin, C&D canal) because it can do most of the things they do, my runner is stock, no lift yet! i just love my yota, and cannot see me getting anything else.

i dont blame you there i sold my first 96 2wd 4runner in 07 and hated getting rid of it. picked up a 88 4runner but still missed my 3rd gen. after blowing up my 1st gen for the second time i new what i wanted but this time it had to be a 3rd gen 4wd 4runner and i found my 99 and love it to death. my mom has a 4th gen but honestly i dont think i could get rid of my 3rd gen its just the best one i have had.

Great job on not selling it man. I put mine up for sale a couple days ago because I am not going to be working for the next year to focus on school so I thought I would pick up something more fuel efficient. I had tons of interests and had one serious guy come look at it 2 hours after I posted it. While he was looking at it he picked out most of the small imperfections and for some odd reason it was pissing me off. He then tried to lowball me which I refused and then he said to me "It's just a 4runner it's nothing special". After he said that I told him that if he doesn't understand why these are such good vehicles then this isn't the vehicle for him. A couple hours later he called me and offered my full asking price which I declined and took down the sale ad. Whats really weird is that I have had over 20 cars in 9 years since I was 16 and have never had an attachment to a vehicle like I have to this 4runner.

So you're keeping it now?

Yeah, a couple of my friends got tickets at the canal, but always around the rt. 1 bridge area. I found a better spot down further. Good fishing, never anyone there. Also decent trails, just gotta keep exploring down there, it's damn endless. Lol
