I HATE this forum because I'm envious as all get out when I see your rigs. Dang, guys, you're talented. I want mine to look like yours but I don't have the mechanical knowledge, time, and money needed. <Jealous>
I LOVE this forum because there's tons of great information here and you guys are the best, most helpful bunch there is. You've ALSO created a sub-culture of enthusiasts that'll assure the 4Runner of Classic status.
Many thanks to all who advised me on my recent purchase: a black '99 4x4 Sport with 137k mi. (Yes! I love driving it.) I'm going to keep my Runner pretty much stock, (doesn't everyone start out thinking that?) and sweeten it here and there, starting with a wash, clay bar, and wax today. Then a timing belt/water pump and some new tires. I might even have enough money left over to get a new steering wheel cover. Story and photos to come. Thanks everyone!
