I test drove a 06 sport v8 and the vsc off, traction control, vsc and abs lights all lit up after about 10 minutes. They plugged a scanner to pull the codes and nothing.

Don't buy it. There maybe a underlying problem. Don't want to purchase something that will bring a slight chance of trouble shortly after you buy it.

What scanner was being used? If it was OBDII only scanner, and since you did not get a check engine light, you may not have the correct scanner if it was an ABS related issue.

I'm helping a friend with this issue on a sequoia ...its a headache and costly fix on his atleast...there's a recall on some years but his misses it....dealer can't even diagnose it without wanting him to pay like 2 grand for new abs module under hood..kind of crazy.

check the brake fluid and make sure its not low....that can trigger those lights.

I wonder if it had something to do with them installing new brake pads they morning? I drove it 2 1/2 hrs home and it never came back on. Knock on wood

The fact that it came on while you were test driving makes me think that the seller knew about it, reset it, and was hoping it wouldn't come on during the selling process. Walk away, this is no coincidence.

This sounds like a top notch Stealership.

I work at a dealer and my 4runner did the same thing. I did a scan no codes or anything. I had to do a test on r scan tool at work and it went away. Sometimes this happens if the battery ever gets low. I'm not saying this is ur problem but could b.
