Now you said you run spacers? 1.25" ? and you think because of that you never touched the resi ? And the spacers have been holding up good when off roading and stuff?

I ran 1.25" spider trax, yes. They held up for literally thousands of miles offroad. Not slow crawling, but bombing from the southern border of WA up to the Canadian border on mostly dirt roads. (The WABDR)

I ran them for 3 or 4 years and when I took them off to replace the rear axle seals and what not they still looked new.

i might have to do that also, dont spacers add little stress to the front suspension because the wheel is pushed out a little?

I imagine they would, sure. How that differs from the stress of a wheel with a more aggressive offset, I am not sure.

maybe because the spacer actually pushed the whole wheel, vs the proper off set the wheel is closer to the hub... idk lol.

Your lift, shocks, bumpers, extra weight all cause more STRESS!!! Just space them out and be done with it.

No idea. But, they're tried and true. Hundreds (if not thousands) of people on the forums running them without issue.

Yes, I ran 4. They are spendy, but you can find them used. [MENTION=142712]bennett707[/MENTION] may have a set for sale when his new SCS wheels come in.

If going w/ spacers I would stick to Spidertrax or Bora. They are both proven and tested. Ebay... I just don't see saving a dollar at the risk of losing a wheel.

I've been running them for the past 6 months with zero issues. The quality was on par with all the big name brands. These are what I'm running. Over 1000 sold and no negative feedback. I took those odds and I'm super happy I did.

I've got 30k+ miles on my Spidertrax with no issues at all. Don't go with cheap spacers, you'll regret it. The entire weight of your truck will sit on the spacers so it's not a part to be cheap about. Spidertrax are $99 a pair shipped from Spidertrax, sometimes they sell blemished ones for cheaper or you can wait until they run a sale, I got mine over black Friday for $89 a paid.

I've been running these E-Bay spacers for 3 years now with no issues.

4pc 1.5" Hubcentric Wheel Spacers Toyota 4Runner T100 Truck Land 6x5.5 gc | eBay

Same alloy as Spidertrax except they're not anodized. I wanted Spidertrax at the time but I was broke from buying wheels, tires, ARP wheels studs & DT headers & these were 1/2 the price. I didn't want to run spacers but my new tires were about 1/4" from the UCA's so I found these.
Honestly though if you have the money dont cheap out.
Also put anti-seize on the back. Before I started doing that I'd have to smack it with a dead blow a few times to get them unstuck from the rotors. Not everyone carries a hammer out on the trail! LOL

Out of curiosity... What tests did you run on the spacers to be able to make the claim that their quality was "on par" with the likes of SpiderTrax and BORA?

With how Feedback works on eBay I would never trust it to tell me about a product's quality.

Before you go off buying spacers you need to do some measuring. Flex her out both sides and measure clearance between tire and resi or measure how much clearance you want. Also measure outside to wheel well. Spacers may help clear the resis but could push tires in to wheel well. You want the mist minimum spacer needed.

That's a pretty fair question. You have a point about the feedback system on fleabay. I do believe if they where a horrible pile of shit though the sellers rating would be at least a little lower. lol

As far as qualifying my statement of "on par" here's what I did. I did a visual inspection of the spacers when I got them. No blemishes or scuffs. All four spacers where measured before install. The numbers where true and they are round. If I had access to a lathe and micrometer I would have also done that but I didn't. They use the same aluminum as found in Spydertrax. They are made in the US just like SpyderTrax. I spoke to them on the phone prior to purchase to make sure it was legit.

Most importantly though, they've been on my rig for over six months. No vibrations that wasn't present before. Actually, they made my wheel vibration slightly less. lol They've been abused pretty hard in those six months. They've done most trails around here and haven't loosened or broken. Basically I've beaten the crap out of them and they have done there job.

I can understand why some people would prefer a name brand company. That's fine. For me though it's fairly simple. Wheel spacers are not complicated and as long as quality material is used for the body and the studs it's only a matter of getting the sizing correct. Which any decent machine shop in the US should be able to handle.
