I received a compliment on my 3g last night...

Coming out of the store last night.... a guy and his son could not stop drooling over my"dirty not looking its best 3g". Wanted to know all about the lift, tires,mileage, year and if i bought it new.. We would have been there in the parking lot all night if his wife didn't make the " Feed me sign"


Dunno about you folks.. but it made me feel pretty dang good... I needed it too...

Its always good when your hard work shows. I get the occasional nice truck but it's fun when they want to know everything.

I sometimes get the guy that says love your trucks stance. They say they never seen one sit like mine and want to know every single part.

Water was not so bad in our part of town, it is starting to rain again and flood warnings are up again.
 
Nice, compliments always feel good. I had a guy in a lifted FJ waving & beeping his horn the other day as we were both driving south on RT 17 in North Jersey.
 
Congrats on the kudos. I love talking about Toyota 4x4s. I have a 90's era (1994) extra cab that I shouldn't have sold. They are some of my favorite looking Toyota trucks. I miss it every day. Many Toyota owners take a lot of pride in their rigs. And people have em for so long that they can't help but pick up some personality from their owners, be it customization, modding, paint fade, patina, whatever... it's all good. You also know within the first minute if it is someone who really wants to know all about your rig, or, tell you all about theirs.
 
I've had a couple of similar encounters and mine is pretty much stock except for lift and 285/75R16s.

But people have struck conversations with me at red lights about my 4Runner and in Parking Lots as well.

Had one guy in a 5th Gen telling me he hopes his lasts as long as my 3rd gen has (and is), especially considering how much he paid for it. lol. Mine cost me 10% of the cost of his.. HA!
