I saw a 2022 with the front camera today

The front sensor brick was moved down compared to the 2020/2021 model, but the big, or little, thing is the camera. It looked like a tiny flaccid microdick sticking out from the front. I'd be embarrassed to be driving that around.

I had to look it up and figured I'd post it here for others to see. Not that bad.

you can use it to help you park as well as for off roading. Actually, you can set it so it automatically turns on at very low speed (<5mph?) so as you pull up into the garage or in a parking space, you see exactly what's in front of the wheels (which you can't see from the windshield). Also gives a nice bird's eye view.

Resolution is pretty terrible, yet still a lot more useful than I expected IMO

I added a camera to my 19 and its really nice seeing down low up front. I have mine set from going to revers to drive but i can always turn it on manually through my Kenwood head unit. Mine isn't HD but its super small and much better picture than my backup camera.

Its also helped with not running over badly placed shopping carts. lol

For the stock front camera, I can press a button as well to turn it on and to cycle between front or sides only (camera under mirrors), but it will only show up at slower speeds.

For the rear camera, it HAS to be in reverse to show up, I wish I could just press a button to show up whenever I wanted to.

I know that "anytime backup camera" has a plug and play option for that but unsure if it's compatible with the 2022 MTM system. On the website it shows up to 2021 MY

Def an awkward camera...but to top it off the resolution is pure garbage. The whole camera system on the 2022 is a fail compared to 2021 and prior generations. I got the 2022 and disappointed in their new camera setup. Deep down I wish I kept my 2019.

although the camera itself could be smaller/less obvious, it doesn't bother me all that much.

Love the system and bird's eye view, but like you said, the resolution is really garbage on these
