I think I found the button that controls my dealer installed alarm (help)

. . . and I ripped the wires out of it. A little backstory

When I bought this 4Runner it had a dealer installed alarm, it honks twice when unlocking and once when locking. I didnt think it would be hard to change - it was so easy on my 3rd gen. But after searching and searching, I couldnt find anyone with a similar alarm system. I eventually gave up, having put up with all the damn honking for the past year.

Fast forward to today- I decided to add SiriusXM and a backup camera to my head unit. I had to pull off the drivers side kickpanel to get to the reverse light, and I found this button at the very back edge of the kick panel. Needless to say it is not connected anymore.

Has anyone seen this before? I am hoping it will give me some sort of control over my alarm? Any insight would be GREAT!

I also found my beeper for my dealer installed backup sensors (which does nothing but make a constant beep regardless of whats behind me). Wirecutters solved that. . .

You could probably just gut the old alarm out of the vehicle? Those dealer installed alarm units are garbage anyways and typically just tapped into a bunch of circuits with clip-on taps (except where they are spliced inline with the starter signal wire.)

Yeah, that looks like a valet switch, which is supposed to disable/reset the alarm. I replaced the battery on my 06 and found that it had an aftermarket alarm with a broken valet switch, (couldn't shut the alarm off) so I just traced the wiring back to the alarm's brain box and disconnected everything to shut the alarm up.
