I think I fried my e brake any fix?

So I may have left it one a time or 2 and I head a horrible noise coming from the wheel area. Once I realized the e brake was on, I disengaged it. Everything seems fine except for the e brake will not stop the vehicle from moving anymore on a hill or driveway. I got into the habit of always engaging it, not sure if it was over use but Im sure leaving it on while driving around was the biggest mistake.

remove the rear caliper and bracket, then the rotor. visually inspect the brake shoes. if they are still in good shape, they just need adjusted up. easy.

if they are cooked, or worn out, they will need replaced. not as easy.
