I think I goofed - fuel system 2001 4runner

I wanted to check the fuel pressure on my 4runner because it died while I was driving. I took off a bolt that leads to the fuel rail so I can tee off a fuel pressure gauge. Well, I wasn't paying attention and tighten the bolt like normal (not taking into account that the holes probably should have been lined up correctly). The bolt has 3 holes in it, my guess is that its for fuel to flow through to the fuel rail. Attempted to start the car without success. The engine turns but it seems it's not getting fuel. I try again and notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust with a burnt smell. I go check under the hood and it smells like gasoline. Under the car was gasoline as well. I have lined the bolt up accordingly but I'm still having issues. Do you guys have any ideas as to what has gone wrong? Possibly backed up the fuel and blew a hose or some thing because there was no place for the fuel to flow? I want to get some information before I go taking things apart. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

That bolt needs a copper/brass washers, one on the head of the bolt and another after you put it through the banjo shaped fitting. Hope that makes sense
