I want a simple traffic advisory light bar

does anyone know of a small (under 36") Traffic advisory light bar.

I want three functions, not dozens of flashing modes.

1) sequential light to the left
2) sequential light to the right
3) either solid bar or a simple whole bar flashes slowly

that's it. Every single one I've found so far has dozens of modes you have to cycle through to change. I don't want that. I want 4 modes: OFF, RIGHT, LEFT, FLASH

that's it.

why? if you are stopped and want to direct traffic to one side of you or the other.

I want it in yellow / amber

It comes in 24, 32 and 48" lengths. You want smaller than 24? Anything smaller is not going to be effective at traffic control.

I wanted all the features so i went with multi colored LED strips that i can control remotely. I installed on the inside, but can be seen clearly out the back window.

May be illegal in some jurisdictions....might want to check. I knew a guy that had a KITT , KNIGHT RIDER type grill light and it went back and forth....the cops said it was illegal for any color to strobe or move....didn't matter that it was not blue.....may or may not be a law, but worth checking.
I am sure there are tons of exceptions for road work etc...

The idea is only to use when pulled over on edge of road or trail. Not for use while driving.

Ive seen good performance out of Feniex Industries... any of their light stick lengths will have easy triggering for arrow patterns. (No external controller needed, just supply 12v to the appropriate wire.)

Dude, Don't waste your money or effort. I'm a firefighter. 18 years on the job. People don't even pay attention to a huge ass tractor-drawn aerial (tiller truck) with $hit loads of warning lights. Nobody will care about your little traffic minder. Just be very careful of where you place your vehicle and assume everyone is on their phones and cares only about themselves. Done.

At vehicle accidents on highways (or any other call on limited access, high speed roadways) we use a blocking truck. It's literally there to get hit and deflect the accident away from the scene, and create a safe zone for the guys working the call.

Dude, Don't waste your money or effort. I'm a firefighter. 18 years on the job. People don't even pay attention to a huge ass tractor-drawn aerial (tiller truck) with $hit loads of warning lights. Nobody will care about your little traffic minder. Just be very careful of where you place your vehicle and assume everyone is on their phones and cares only about themselves. Done.

it's actually more for trail use. I was with a group in Colorado a few years back and we stopped when we hit some heavy fog (cloud) tail gunner had a setup like this on his rig and it avoided a collision. Idiot running up the trail saw the the tail lights and would have passed on the wrong (cliff) side except for the directional arrow pointing towards the "safe" side.

Thought it might be handy, if the cost wasn't stupid.

But for now, I'm going to concentrate on other ads and equipment....

Makes a lot of sense for off-roading.

I was recently on a run and learned the value of a chase light.

Full daylight on a sunny day, and with a dozen vehicles on a dirt road, the Taco in front of me was pretty much invisible through the dust.

I'm looking into this one for that reason.
