those girls in the mud look like they have no idea what they are doing. the cameraman probably told them to get in the mud for the pics.
as far as stereotypes go people need to ease up a bit. you cant judge a man by his ride. I have a great 4Runner and I hope my next car is a coupe M3. I will be keeping the 4Runner of course.
Another thing that really gets me are people who assume if someone has a stereotypical patriotic bumper sticker that they must be more patriotic (teaparty or freedom isnt free ect). Most vets I know dont put that crap on their vehicles. it is mostly those who've never served.

eh it depends, most of the guys i know(old school vietnam and newer guys) have something, but most people wont know what it is unless they have served or know something about history or the military. i have a few stickers on my runner.
this one is my favorite, and it is pretty obvious but still:

I agree with you. it is not the actual bumper stickers that get to me but the IDEA of non-vet civilians who think they are somehow 'more patriotic' than other civilians because of a slogan or sticker. you either served or you didn't and no amount flag pins can change that.

I'm sure you would think differently of me depending on which one of these you saw me driving. At the end of the day I'm still the same guy who just happens to like a wide range of vehicles.

i love your E39s, i dont know which one i like more gosh they are so beautiful. and your runner, what where you thinking selling that green one!? :rockthrow: you have good taste in vehicles my friend. if you ever want to dump your e39, i could use one, and i like yours

Thanks. I actually liked the 528iT better than I like the 540. It was cleaner and much more unique. Rare to find a Touring with a Manual Trans and Sport Package.
You're right, never should've sold the green 4Runner. I actually tried to call the guy a few weeks ago to see if he'd be interested in my current one + cash on my end for the green one back but apparently his cell # changed. I don't have anyother way of contacting him. I know money was tight for him so I'm betting he probably would've done it too. Damn.
If you're looking for an e39, get a 530i/5. IMO, best e39 made. The 6cylinder cars are the better cars, the handle better, much better steering feel and they're still quick when you get one with 3 pedals.

there is just something about that v8 rumble and you can still get 3 pedals with 8 cylinders. i know the 30s and 35s are a lot easier to work on(used to work for BMW, might go back idk), but idk i love the 40, its such an animal(the m5 is a monster and i cant afford one of those right now).

Buying an e39 M5 now (unless super low miles) would be like f*cking Natalie Portman if she had the HIgh V. Great to look at and say you had it but the consequences could be devastating. That S64TU (I think it is) is a phenomenal motor but it's tuned so close to it's limits that it bound to break. And that's a lot of $$& when that thing breaks.

It is entertaining how any time I've driven this, I'm instantly a lot better looking.
I've seen where they've done studies where they show pictures of guys to women and ask them to rate them. Then they show the pictures of the same guys to different women, but with statistics on them about their level of education, current job and income. Even if the man had seemingly good qualities (masters and a teacher who made enough money to support a family) they were always rated much higher in looks if they made 6 figures.
