icelink plus issues

Here is the specifics:

2005 4runner with jbl single disc head unit
icelink plus running in ipod ui mode.

Wanted to know if any other icelink plus users have experienced this, and is there a fix?

The icelink worked good for the first few days, other than the three or four reboots when starting the vehicle. The other day when I started the 4runner
I got the normal reboots but the ipod ui was not available insted I had only several dotted lines, (see attachment) no album art or song title info and the
ipod control were not working, (play, pause, menu, ect). The head unit and steering wheel controls still seemed to function ok. I tried to access the icelink
menu but only got smaller dotted lines on the ipod. Also the ipod no longer turns off when key is turned off on 4runner.

I have tried to "reset" the ipod per the knoweledge base suggestion on dension web site with no luck.
I have a help ticket in at dension, no reply as of yet.

Anyone????

my wife has a bmw station wagon and we where looking into getting the icelink for her car...anyways, long story short, i've been doing alot of research on the bmw bulletin boards about the icelink, and alot of the denison owners are coming up with the same problem...feel free to checkout this site:

there is a guy on that forum who goes by the username:

tom @ eas that should be able to help you...you probably have a bad unit, though...

mods, sorry about posting a link to another forum, and if this is no allowed, please feel free to delete...just though i'd help out another 4runner owner with their problem...

Thanks for the reply md4runner.

I stumbled across that site as well and Tom seems to know his stuff.
I sent Tom an email last night and am waiting to hear back from him.

Will post any info I get from him, again thanks!

Well got my RMA replacement in the mail and will install today, hope it works a little better. Dension never did have a clue as to the cause.
