For those with Icon coilovers on their 3rd gen. I am curious how much preload you are running and how it ties in with the rest of your setup.
I have 2" of threads showing on each coilover and have been running it this way for a few years. I have the height I want but I have always found it to be a little stiff (arguably a very subjective topic when talking modified suspension, without any numbers to provide).
For reference:
- 2000 SR5 stock bumpers, aftermarket skid plates
- Extended travel Icon 2.5 coilovers with standard 650lb coils (don't know coil length)
- 265/75/16 Load C tires
- OME 890 rear coils
Between the 890 rears and icon coilovers, I really am in a position to add more weight beyond just the skid plates. However, steel bumpers never happened and I don't think they will any time soon.
