Icon Stage 1 Lift Question w/Gear...

A local 4 wheel drive shop gave me a decent price on an Icon Stage 1 kit. They said the front coilovers come set to level out the ride with the rear springs. My plan was to lower the front to a 2” lift and maintain factory rake.

For those of you who have installed this and not lowered the front, did you notice any sag in the rear end when it’s loaded with gear? I really don’t want to drive across the country nose high.

I was going to just figure this all out myself via trial and error, but figured someone might know the answer here. I’m also not sure what phrase to search to find my exact question. Most people it seems enjoy a leveled ride.

Bump.

Just looking to see how these Icons behave fully loaded with gear. Not with bumpers or a winch being added.

Installed my Icon lift through the course of this week. Dropped it down today and drove it a bit to settle the springs, flexed it out on some big rocks in the yard, and ripped it down some bumpy back roads.

The lift came somewhere around 3” in the front and the 2” in the rear. The vehicle is perfectly level. I loaded up 550lbs. of weights in the back with the spare tire. The rear sagged about 3/4” lower than the front with my oldest kid sitting in the rear seats.

With the wife and I in the front it might level out. But I’m considering dropping the front 1”. I’ll ask again, has anyone done this?

I haven’t yet , but i got one coming this week ill hook up my trailer n let you know how it acts after I install it. With 550 and only sagged 3/4” thats not bad

No, it’s not too bad, but I don’t want to drive across the country nose high. Haha! Cost a fortune in gas.

My factory difference was 3” between front and rear. 1” might be perfect.

Hadn't seen your post before today. I am running an Icon stage 1 with SPC UCA's. However, I have a 1/4" spring spacer on my driver's side rear to offset the driver's side lean.

Before I leveled off my truck, I did not notice any sagging when my rig is under load. I just don't like the reverse rake look so I would notice that right away.

I've got RCI skids, C4 sliders, a winch bumper/winch, and aluminum rack, plus whatever I load up for an overlanding trip. I've attached a couple of pics of my rig under load and it appears to be fine.

Your winch and bumper would really help to counter the weight in the rear.

Mine is all stock except suspension and brakes. The majority of the weight is in the rear.

We’ve got a trip to Colorado planned early August, so I really want to get this all buttoned up ASAP. I still haven’t received my rear Icon shocks so the shop gave me some RC premiums for the time being, which ride like total ass.

Just not a good year to slap together a vehicle before a 1,700 miles trip. Haha!
