Icon stage 2 rear shorter than front

After having stage 2 icon kit installed on my truck, I noticed that my rear is slightly shorter than the front. I lifted to the max in the front(3 inch), the rear shock I believe you cannot adjust. So it is about half or 1 inch shorter than the front. It looks okay, but I would like the rear match the front. It seems like some people used spacer for rear to match the height with front. I do not trust spacer due to many horror stories out there. What are some other ways to adjust rear icon shock?
(I am a total noob when it comes to suspension installation and setup)
Icon stage 2 does come with rear spring, but not sure you can adjust that one.

few more additional details I forgot to include. I do not have any extra weight on rear. Just 33 inch spare tire underneath(which should not add that much extra weight).
I have been looking at this page here and the spring is supposed to add about 3 inch in rear and 2 inch with more gear which I do not have. So not sure why rear is shorter than the front.

You could lower the front some since those are adjustable and would cost you nothing except a lil ego check to not have “3in of lift” or you could buy 3in rear springs.

Plus if your 1in high up front compared to the rear with icon 2in springs your probably at about 5in of front lift, give of take .5 in.

Pic will help also, how much preload do you have on the coil overs?

Do you have the coilover adjustment collars maxed out? what is the distance from the center of your wheel hub to the bottom of your fender?

I really like the 3 inch lift. Yes I could lower it. My preload is about 2inch or 1.9. The factory max preload is 2.13 i am little less than that. I will take a pic later and post it here to show the difference. New spring is like $284. I guess not too bad considering that is like 1/10 th cost of stage 2 kit cost. But still buying another rear spring sucks. If I buy new 3 inch rear, I will end up with factory one and icon 2 inch rear spring.

Just measured it and the distance for the front is 23.1/4 inch and the rear is 23. So the difference is 1/4. (this is not at full droop, just when it is parked) Also the preload on the front is 2 inch.
So does 1/4 of inch difference can make rear of truck look 1 inch shorter over long distance? I cannot correctly/precisely measure from top of the truck to the ground for rear and front due to curvature of the truck, but from distance it does give one inch short look.

So if front is at preload 2 inch which should equate very close 3 inch lift(more like 2.8inch since max preload is 2.13) and my rear spring is 2 inch, should not the difference be about 1 inch without worrying about measuring wheel hub to fender distance etc?

Your at 4in front lift and 2in rear by those measurements.

The distance between the rear fender and wheel and the front fender and wheel are not the same when you level the rake. You want to be adding 3" in front to your stock settings and 2-3 ' in the rear.

I have fenderflares installed on my truck, otherwise I'd go out an measure, but if I recall, 23" should be the distance from your wheel hub center and fender in front.

I run Icon 2.5's in front and use the 2" lift springs in rear. I still have a bit of rake, but its relaxed compared to stock.

That does not add up though. Maybe I measured something wrong. But, according to icon their max preload is 2.13 inch which should give you 3 inch lift. I am at 2 inch preload setting and that should be little less than 3 inch.

Sorry, after some more digging looks like stage 2 icon rear spring seems to be at 2 inch.(ICON 4Runner Overland Series 3" Lift Rear Coil Springs)
This is a bummer, the front can be adjusted up to 3 but not rear. I wish they both matched. So in another words people who bought stage 2 who lifted their truck to 3 inches, had to purchase new 3 inch spring?

Hey man,
I have Icon stage 2 (with extended coil overs) with 2 inch rear coil springs.
Only additional weight on the rig are steel CBI sliders.
I am at 3.5 inches of lift in the front (23.5 center hub to fender lip). The rear is 24.5 unloaded. Driver has 19 threads (or 1.65 inches above collar) and passenger has 14.

That is interesting that you have 1.65 inch preload and you are getting 3.5inch lift. Also how is your rear inch higher than your front when you have rear spring that is 2 inch?

Not sure why yours is so off. Are you certain you measured correctly? Perhaps post up some detailed pics. Most rigs will be a little different with all things being equal.

Do you have a picture how this is measured?

I was planning on cranking mine to the highest right away before putting them on. My billy lift now is 23.5 hub to center and would like to get the same out of it.

Arent you not suppose to go beyond 2.13" per the manual?
How is the ride?

A picture? No. You park on what you presume is a level surface. Take a tape measure and measure from the the center of the hub (I even use a digital caliper to ensure the center of the hub) straight up to the lowest part of the fender. That's the 23 .5 inch measurement.

Do not get that measurement confused with Icon's max preload suggested to be no more than 2.13 inches of threads showing on the coil over, above the collar. My driver is a 1 5/8 inches, well below the suggested max by Icon. Also for reference my driver side coil over has 18 individual threads showing (just another data point for you) The passenger is 14 threads showing as it came from Icon. Driver was adjustment to help with lean.

Ride is good.

Also, no needed to adjust preload prior to install. That's part of the value of Icon is that it can be adjusted post install. Just get the front wheels off the ground before doing so. Takes 10 minutes. Just be certain you get alignment done after preload adjustments.
Icon has a good video on how to adjust and measure. Search you youtube and you'll find it.

Sorry should have been clearer (my fault).

A picture of what your measuring for threads on your suspension (when they say 2.13") this is the picture I was curious of.

I think if I am understanding it is the amount of threads between the top of the collar and the top most thread? Essentially measuring how many threads you have exposed?

Here you go.
You don't want any more than 2.13 inches showing per Icon.

Have you adjusted your preload at all from icons setting that they sent to you?
