I have seen a lot of sale prices on ICON lately, Auto Anything has the Stage 7 kit on sale for $4775.52 shipped and tax. I really had not planned on coming out of pocket for $5Gs TODAY. Since I haven't been pricing this kit very long, I wanted to know if anyone thought this was a deal I had better jump on ASAP of if this might come around again.

Goddamn that's an awesome price. I was set on doing the stage 2, and then said screw it and went up to the Stage 5. For not much more I could have done the Stage 7...ah well.
 
Is there a specific reason you need to go with the stage 7 kit? You can probably get away with piecing something together and coming in a lot cheaper. Like do you really need the 2.5 remotes front and rear? Or the rear links?

Hmm, i messaged him about a stage 3 billet quote and he responded to be 500 less than auto anything.

No... quite honestly I am still researching a lot of this to determine what I need and don't need. This is still a little premature yet and I would only really pull the trigger if this was too good to pass up. I plan on keeping this rig for the next ten years and figured I would eventually upgrade to a stage 7 kit. The price is good for 48 hours on the quote they gave. Maybe you are right, and I should look into a downgraded kit for now?

If you want to stick with the ICON setup then maybe go to a 4, but at a certain point I wouldn't go any lower or you'll pay more to incrementally upgrade from there.

Honestly, life is short, if you want that kit go for it.
 
AA is not an authorized ICON dealer, nor have they ever installed an ICON kit as they are a Tijuana based call center.

I will match or beat any ICON price you are quoted. I know AA has a 20% sale going on their site now, but it DOES NOT apply to ICON. You are taking 20% off their web price, which is not something they can offer. As you go thru the checkout process, it will say discount codes do not apply to this product.

ICON hardly goes on sale, so when you see a group buy like we are running, you gotta jump on it!!

Do this. Be honest about how you're going to use the suspension, how much weight you're running now, and how much you plan on adding in the future. I've seen lots of guys running remote resis who really don't need them just because it looks cool or the shop told them they needed it.

I have a lot of weight here full skid, front and rear bumper.

Outside of $$$ is there really any downside to running a stage 7?

Nope. Just if you don't use it, it can be a waste of money. I have the Stage 5 with MetalTech upper and lower control arms in LT format. That may be something else to consider if you really what to wheel the snot out of your rig. If all you want is a great ride, you can do that without remote resi. Remote Resi is for fast offroad driving. I do it sometimes but I prob could have done with normal 2.5 instead and never known the difference. I don't have enough washboard here to really overheat my shocks. I crawl a lot (you don't need remote resi to rock crawl).

I am kinda partial to "Baja-ing" it.

Love to blow through the trails at a far greater speed than I should ( probably why I have softball size dents in my SW skid plates)
It sounds like this might be a great fit for me.
