I have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium (Non-KDSS). Suspension is Icon Coilovers with external reservoirs and CDC valves (Ext travel). I have had the driver side lean and can’t seem to alleviate it with adjusting my Icon Coilover.
Basically just trying to get the the thing level with the passenger side but no matter how many times I crank it, the truck still leans on the driver side. Icons instructions say not to crank past 2.13in of exposed thread, which is where I’m currently sitting after adjusting it. I can’t crank anymore for more lift. When jacking up the truck, the passenger side tire always comes off the ground before the driver side as well, which doesn’t seem right.
I cranked it four times to get to this point.
Here are my measurements before and after adjustment from center hub to fender:
Before
Left front 22 5/8” Right Front 23 3/4”
Full droop 26 1/2 Full droop 27”
After
Driver Side After four turns:
Left Front 23 1/8” Right front 24 1/2”
So my questions to suspension professionals are:
1) why does the adjustment not level out the vehicle?
2) why does adjusting the driver side lift the passenger side at the same time?
3) Does having uneven suspension and droop cause any issues with shock lifetime and tire wear (tires have been wearing badly with severe cupping) even with rotations every 3,000 miles and leaking shocks all around?
3)is it possible that I was sent an extended travel shock model and standard travel that could cause this issue?
4) Is there anything I can do to fix it?
