I am just throwing around ideas I want to do since I just purchaised a 2000 4runner sr5 and the cd player seems to be jacked up. I was thinking of doing a 7" in dash touchscreen LCD that would be the hub for a cd player/changer. navigation, and sattelitte radio. Where should I start looking for the support equipment to set all this up properly? I can get monitors, navigation and a cd changer but how would Ihook all this up properly is my question.

My advice would be to get brochures/catalogues from different vendors, decide what you need/want and then shop around for it. It didnt have the chance to install such a system ( I do audio only ) but for a setup that includes sound, video, nav and so on I'd stick with one vendor.

go to crutchfield, plug in your truck, and pretend youre gonna buy something. get all the model numbers, associated items (remote control etc) you want.
once you have those, check froogle.com for cheaper prices. also check out hookedontronics.com... they have awesome prices and are very reliable.
