Idle Help

My 1991 4runner is acting up. After driving for a little bit my idle stays constant at 1500 when it isn't fluctuating between 1000 and 1500. It sounds like I am constantly revving the engine and I have to keep it in first and press the brake and release the clutch about halfway for it to stop. I did some research and I topped off the radiator and coolant reservoir. Any idea what it could be or how to fix it?

check your cold start injector

I'm not much of a mechanic....where is that located?

pass side of the eng on the intake small plug going into it with two either 8 or 10 mm bolts that hold it down

I just completely removed my IAC and manually set the idle and mine works great now. Its on my 22re though, but same basic principle. I changed out my cold start injector first though and found it not helpful at all, just a waste of $100.
